Shimano flat fall jigs!!! Caught all species on this. This is including 5 blackfish during the summer! Fluke, searobin, stripers, blackfish, seabass, dogfish, porgy. Im sure I will catch cod with it as well. I will try to see how it fares with mahi next year and tuna (didnt have a chance to use it for them)
For 2017 I’ve really enjoyed fishing the penn slammer 3 family 4500,6500 and 10500 also the shimano tranx 400 . Josh do you think we will see a new saltiga in 2018? If so that would be my 2018 list.

2017 was by far my most expensive fishing tackle year. I needed to replace some gear, and I just wanted a few nicer things. My favorite reels bought and fished this year: Van Staal VR200, Daiwa Saltiga 5500 expedition, Jigging Master VS200xh, Shimano Exsence 3000, Quantum Accurist baitcaster (thanks John Skinner) and Seigler SG. Fishing rods: Sloopster Dark Matter spinning, 3 Blackhole rods, and a couple of Shimano Teramars. The Seigler sg just caught my biggest ever striper weighing 51 lbs.!! (certified and citation coming) Look forward to 2018. I do not plan to go crazy this year, but hope to add 1 or 2 nicer setups. Thanks for your vids! BTW hurry up and send those fishing poles I ordered!! LOL

I got the fin nor primal 10 HS for Christmas and I haven't got to use it yet, but it feels really nice
Man I want the Shimano Twin Power XD 5000, I just bought the Starrod VPR 10-20lb and I don’t see better reel for it
