FYI the best way to handle the bass…is NOT to handle the bass. Watching you purposefully lay the bass onto the deck of your boat made me cringe. It removes the "slime coat" which protects them. At all times, only lip the bass when possible. Every seminar I've taken says the same thing which is "don't handle the fishes body just lip it".
