  1. That was an excellent video and you kept me interested the whole time. Very cool. Glad you enjoyed our beach house and experienced Sanibel island. You did really well even though it was after our first real cold weather for our area that shocked the fish a bit. Summer fishing is like no other. Largest congregation of snook, tarpon and many other species that spawn right there. You can literally just wait right at the waterline for hungry schools of snook and tarpon to pass every few minutes. Its magical. Talk to you later.

  2. Aloha Elias, that's my kid sis' backyard you're fishing. She moved to Cape Coral 20 years ago, and now she is retired and owns her own home something I could not afford to do here. That's the bridge that connects Sanibel to Captiva. I hope you get to fish Pine Island Sound. Too bad you're a tad early for the Boca Grande Tarpon run, would be fun to see you go on a "Nantucket Sleigh Ride" Boca Grande style on your Compass. A day on Lake Okeechobee for giant Florida Largemouths would be fun if you had the time. At least you have an excuse to come back.

  3. damn brotha nice video i wish i new you were going to be in my city. i woud have totally tagged along and its never that gloomy here maybe once or twice a year

  4. Great video and like all the different species. I fished it quite a bit when I lived down there. My office was in Tampa and I'd stop there to fish on my way back to Ft. Laud. I also, got my first hole-in-one on the course at Captiva.

  5. Elias you are a shepherd with all of those sheep. The wife and I are looking for house on the water not far from there. This video is making me excited about what my future videos could be like when I get there. Hopefully someone local pointed you in the right direction. I scouted out that whole area and have a lot mapped out already. That current rips through the bridge you were fishing near when you caught the permit. It is amazing at how many species you can catch on a shrimp in FL.

  6. Hey I've fished that area a bunch of times! We have an empty lot on Pine Island for retirement winters. Great video!! I don't think they get too many permit there on the inside. Beautiful catch. We usually do well on snook in that area tossing spooks way under the mangroves. Keep at it. This is better than anything on TV!
