  1. Hi from England….ice fishing I find strange as we don't do it here in the UK….the gear for it looks really awkward, why don't they make those wooden cross things out of tubular carbon fibre to bring them up to the 21st century? is it braid main line your using?by the way a little tip before you pull your knots tight , moisten them first before pulling, you don't weaken the line then,if you don't the friction can cause line to weaken at the knot causing breakages(just trying to help a fellow angler),and what do those blinker things actually do? lol interesting video though…..tight lines )

  2. Nice video thank you for posting it. Very nice to see that you really know how to rig an ice trap. Better than that preparing before the season half the fun of ice fishing. I can't tell you how many times over the years I've sat in the fish house with a cup of coffee working on traps waiting for the ice. 🙂 I really think it must be a sickness waiting and waiting for the ice to freeze up so that we can go sit on it and catch a fish. LOL My wife and family says it makes no sense at all to take a bunch of little fish in a bucket out on a frozen lake . Just to come back with a bigger fish in the bucket. Thank you for taking the time to do these videos it really is nice to see your Maine Channel.

  3. I should probably get ready too, ice is just gettin thick enough in MN. After having a flasher for 5-6 years I won't go without mine, upgraded to the helix 5 last year and it's incredible, I get lake contour maps along with the flasher all in 1 unit!
