  1. Uhh well so far the Bass at the spot I fish don't like the frog I assume I'm fishing it wrong? I've been doing the twitch twitch pause and nothing.. The spot I fish has a lot of Lilly pad's I've managed to get the frog snagged many time's I'm surprised I haven't lost it yet, and when I cast my line seems to always grab something like tall grass or a dead tree seems to be the most common way I end up snagged. I can't fish worm's I don't think because of the lilly pads and whatever else the worm might get snagged on and with my 20lb braided line I seem to not be able to cast more then I'd say 10-15 feet from the bank I'm using a Abu Garcia Ultra max bait caster I even put a 1/16 oz bullet weight didn't seem to help much getting it casted out more. However my Booyah 3000 spinning reel with a frog goes at least 25-30 feet. However I haven't tried putting a worm on that spinning reel and I haven't tried putting a frog on the bait caster either so maybe that might explain ..

  2. I'm age 60+ and started bass fishing only in recent years. I credit Glen and his videos with most of the useful fishing knowledge I've learned. The toad fishing tip of using a weighted hook that he and his wife discuss in another video resulted last week in the largest bass I've caught.

  3. Nicely done Glen! These instructional videos may not get a ton of initial views but they will get loads of views over time! Keep them coming!

  4. I love your videos. They are super informative and you say what you believe is right. I totally agree, why have a 8.1 gear ratio with only 13 pounds of drag. Any fish over 5 pounds can easily wrap you up in 20 pounds of lily pads.

  5. Good video, I know a lot of guys (self included have a low hook-up ratio on frogs . I'll be trying some of the things you mentioned . 13 minutes is a little long for my viewing attention but well produced.

  6. Good video, Glenn! Like many other anglers, my biggest fault is not letting the bait soak. However, when I get a blow-up, I will only wait long enough until I no longer see the frog before I set the hook. That way, I am reasonably sure that he has it. I prefer a higher speed reel (7.3:1), not to get the lure back to the boat, but to rapidly take up the slack before the hook set. I also use 65 lb braid, and when it starts looking washed out and faded like a big white rope in the water, I will color the first five feet or so with a black Sharpie

  7. I didn't think that there was a whole lot of things to do to change up frog fishing. I always expect to hear the same things about a technique from one video to the next but this channel never fails to prove me wrong. You guys always share some really unique pointers that I don't hear anywhere else.

  8. The strength of drag is something I hadn't considered. Now I have to find out how strong the drag is on my reels is . The BB trick is also interesting. Thanks! Question: do the BBs make the frog rattle?
