Excellent ! Thanks Brian , Boy , there is a whole lot of variables to consider ! You may be a small guy , but you definitely have some brains and some shoulders. I'm probably going to stick to surf , shore and kayak fishing , with maybe an occasional charter for some tuna , mahi or snapper. Fishing is expensive enough ! I know you are being modest , but you might want to mention , that a person really has to have some muscles and be in pretty good shape , because , it's a lot of work , a whole lot of physical work . Great Advise ! Hook Em Captain .
Actually very informative and thoroughly enjoyed this Boat Vid Brian!!!!! And yes you are hilarious….. so my son will be in Spring Training next month w/ St Louis in Jupiter I believe. You guys near there? I’ll be there like March 15th week maybe just maybe I’ll get a Landshark with ya hahahahaha I’ll get you two to come out a watch some Spring Training
I own a 16' key largo and I just found a 1996 22' CC same make (key largo) in my storage yard, that has been neglected for 4yrs so it needs to be refit “ new gel coat and electronics and .do you or anyone else have an opinion on key largo hulls as an offshore boat.if I can actually talk the customer into selling it I would have matching boats inshore and offshore almost seems worth it.
Nice information, I was curious as to min size to run offshore or just to navigate most inlets as well as trailering. You hit all my other questions also. Thanks
Hey Brian and Darci! Looking into getting some outriggers for our 26 Pro Line SS. I remember Brian mentioned in this video what kind of downriggers yall have but I would like to know a,little more about your outrigger setup since our boats are almost identical. Tired of tangled lines!
Hey Brian! Great video good info. Answered a couple of questions I had. Need your insight though if you don’t mind. Just bought my first boat – 25ft CC. Really excited. It’s in the shop being refreshed. Motor is a 2003 Yamaha xo66 200 horse with an estimated 300hrs on it and a 60 gal tank. Question is, do you think I would take it to Bahama Bay from New Smyrna Beach? Let me know if you can. Thank you sir.
Great video You are absolutely spot on about safety equipment Brains and steering wheel I fish moriches inlet all the time and every year people flip there boats It's not worth it to catch a 20lbs bass to flip your boat over and maybe die.
I got a 20' center console Compact fishing boat great for the inlet. It's a pioneer 202 sportfish
I have one question and feel free to answers or not Do you still fish moriches bay/inlet Or you only fish Florida?
Videos like this are what's wrong with YouTube and other social media … misinformation! No, Proline boats are not and never have been built by Donzi. Custom Marine Group (CMG) is the parent company of Fountain, Donzi, Baja, and Proline … all of which are completely separate factories. Brian, it would have taken you two minutes to do your homework and get your facts straight before you said something so ridiculous. Shame, shame!
Totally agree with you about the water off New England DANGEROUS!! I'm from Northern Maine and the water of the coast is quite a bit more dangerous than down in Florida. I fish a lot in FL and I feel much safer down there in the winter!
thanks for dispelling the Smith of two motors, i have fished offshore with one motor and only got stranded once and it was a fuel tank issue that would have stopped all motors
Question for you Brian.I have the opportunity to buy a 23 foot 1987 Donzi Center console, the boat has been fully restored and done over with awlgrip the price is rite at 6,900 with a a trailer that is in great condition.I would have to power it with a new outboard it is currently set up for a Yamaha 250.Do you think this would be a good platform for fishing offshore here in Massachusett?i currently have a 21 Grady walk around but would like something i could get out to the fishing grounds and back faster. Thanks in advance I enjoy your site here.
Very nice! Starting to contemplate the purchase of my first boat as up until now I've either chartered or gone with friends. After all, as you said "the cheapest boat to own is someone else's!"
You talking to me? Noo how you doing??? You think I'm funny???funny how? like a clown?? do I amuse you?? Good video but figured I'd take a second and bust your balls I'm from New York too and couldn't resist the opportunity
I'm a southern dude, but I have A.D.D. (it's almost as if northern, naaa), You spoke perfectly! Fast enough for me to comprehend, slow enough for your valid points to make Sense/ since…your rant re: all the crap one hears as a captain, SPOT ON!! Y'alls Video was Excellently done! And real. Everything you went over regarding the vessel, covered many of my questions as far as what to look for in the 22'-25' range. You, As a professional angler, seller and boat owner, I'm just Sayin', I really appreciate your efforts Taking the time to produce & to post your video!!! Priceless 🙂 You ROCK BRO!
Thanks, a lot of gd info
Awesome info! Love the channel. Thanks for sharing all the knowledge!

Hey, Brian. Learn the terms freeboard, beam, bow, stern, port and starboard. It will make for a better video.
Great video!
The man says he’s not a boat expert, but at 3:16 he states his boat has a great offshore bottom, and on that topic the man is an expert.

Proline is a entry level boat.
No way to go offshore with a single. Who is going after you 35 miles out? With twins, at least you can "limp" home.
Why not Boston whaler ? I've always been told key west are key wets
Watch just to see cizzle, great bod

Thanks for the info … I've wrestled much with people on the "one engine two engine" argument. Todays 4-strokes are very reliable!
