Great advice Lou. Back in the day when I owned a boat I always walked an unknown ramp before backing down. Another tip I always gave to people, start your motor and let it run before you untie and launch into the water. Can't tell you how many people I've seen launch only to discover their motor wouldn't start.
The diamond plates on the fenders of the trailer should only be halfway in the water when you load you boat. On the Skeeters if you have them all the way under water, the angle is off and the boat might not sit on the trailer correctly. Also you don't have to totally have your trailer underwater to get the boat off, if you slowly back the boat in and suddenly stop, the boat should slide off the trailer.

Good tip man. I've seen countless guys drive off the end of a ramp.
Noobs don't need to be learning on a brand new 50,000 dollar boat. You give bass fisherman a bad image.
Interesting. I wish that you would have shown you unloading and then loading though. 🙂

If you are like me and fish solo most of the time, check out the Z-Launch cord. It is the best thing I have found for solo launching.
Good stuff. Have fun on your new boat. I know I have enjoyed my new fishing boat. Tight lines.
never had to much trouble until last Sunday. that wind kicked my butt.
Great tips and I love the bloopers
See that big red line of spray paint
