  1. That spots no secret… I've fished there since 1961… grew up on Walnut St and was a total "bay rat"… old man Smith or Smitty watched me grow up… I still miss him.

  2. Anyone catching perch this week in the bay? (Feb 4th). I live near pymatunning. Been doing good on craps n gills but I'm heading to Erie for 4 days to do nothing but ice fish. Any info on where and how deep would be nice. Also any info on catching steel and browns through ice? I'd like to spend a day doing that

  3. Hey guys I have an awesome video idea for you, I am in emlenton, send me a message at Andy burgdorfer on Facebook Instagram or YouTube or whatever, great video idea I promise ??

  4. That was a nice rainbow. Technically not a steelhead since it never went to sea. Steelhead are andronomous fish and must live part of their life cycle in salt water. Therefore the fish in the great lakes area are not true steelhead. Nice trout though.

  5. Looks like the typical NY steelhead. Very Nice fish!! I live in PA but spend a lot of time fishing in NY. You ever tried ice fishing or fishing the salmon run up in Pulaski NY John? I've been watching your videos for years. Always look forward to them. Keep up the good work!

  6. John, thanks for another great video. The reel on one of your outfits doesn't look like a traditional spinning reel. If I may ask, what type of reel is it? Does it provide and advantage over a traditional spinning reel? Thanks, CSL

  7. John, another great video. I was on the edge of my seat hoping you would get that steelhead in. All those perch had me getting hungry. Nothing better than perch to eat.

  8. I should have entered. My 10 fish weighed out at nearly 7 1/2 pounds when I had them weighed at Poor Richards that day. Oh well, was still a great day for me. Nice video.
