  1. Is it true that wire leader disrupts the movement of the lure when trolling…???
if yes then is there any solution for this…??? lost a couple of XRap on my first day of trolling… 🙁

  2. It's getting to be mackerel time in South West Fl. Green backs all over the beach right now. So, you said use a 8 to 10 foot leader with the trolling weight. Did you mean eight to ten inches? Also, what about steel leader?

  3. If you want to have fun and catch bigger Spanish mackerel cast to them, trolling uses to much gas and catch smaller fish, use stingsilver, jigfish, sea striker lures up to a ounce and cast to them, speck rigs you can leave them together and tie in the loop and cast those as well, make lures out of drinking straws and worm weights and cast them, live bait use a floro leader and gold treble hook, change out all you lure hooks with gold trebles, Spanish love gold, gold treble hooks on livebaiting, hook live bait through the nostrils because Spanish go for the head, if they cut a live bait in half you can open your bail and let the rest of the bait sink and they will get it,spanish spawn from late April if water temps are right to early September at night,so they feed more right before dark and sunrise,as the sun comes up and warms the water thet move deeper,so get them early or late or troll for the little ones.My last trip out my fished averaged 2.5 lbs with many over four and a couple six pounders casting,I lost a lot of lures but I was catching better fish.

  4. Thanks for the video! I was wondering, with the light 1/8 ounce jigs, how far are you able to cast? And is this far enough to consistently reach the macs? Also with the trolling weight and clarkspoon, what technique to you use for casting it, because a usual overhand cast might not work with 8-10 foot of leader? Thanks for any responses!
