It’s funny you mention a top water here recently I’ve heard guys catching them on a buzz bait with the water being in the high 40’s. Here last week I saw some shad getting busted on the surface and the back cove. The water temp was 47…. crazy stuff! For me my favorite winter lure is a jerk bait!
Hey after having the titan and the hobie (I know you hated the titan) but what pedal style was more comfortable? Or easier? Instant reverse better then the hassle of the pull cord? Etc.
Red eye shad is always good, also like the rat l trap. Always done really well with spinnerbait colrado/willow in white and blue, 3/8 ounce on a slooooow retrieve. Black and blue 3/8 ounce jig, with crawdad, or blue and black trailer, works very good all year round for me. Grape with pink curly tail worm, on a Texas rig, another fave. Shad rap , always close by.
COMMENT below what your favorite winter bass fishing lure is!!! Stay safe and warm this weekend lady and gents!!!!
Hahaha in michigan we call southern winter "late spring" those baits are not an option here lol
It's definitely different down there. My lakes don't freeze but you toss those baits and it's gonna be a long cold winter up here. lol.
3:21 “its stiffer and I like it like that” lol ? love the channel.

Nice video man
Dropshot rig finesse fishing! Shad imitation is working for me!
Great video LoJo! What brand fluorocarbon do you use and what knot do you use when fishing flouro?

I like the zoom finesse worm wacky rigged on a small 1/16 ounce jig head. Usually tequila sunrise color.
Another good cold water lure are the various suspending jerkbaits, and maybe suspending lipless crankbaits, I'm going to be trying those very soon.
going in the morning got the soft plastics, jerkbait and lipless, i try them all till i find what they want
Lipless cranks are ?
Yeah buddy went to bass pro and stocked up on some more tackle. You do the same as me with changing hooks on lures and great info you gave.
Awesome video man! I’d have to say if all these, the Jig is my favorite as well!
I like a pop-r or a red crank bait when the crawfish start coming out of the mud
In your opinion what is the best "all around" line? Thanks.
