By the way you don’t have to be so delicate with trout like you don’t have to wet your hands or immediately release it I caught 19” brown and kept it but after being out of the water for a few to get pictures it was fine on the stringer kicking away just fine

They are called creek chub. I cot a lot of them they use the creek chub for muskie fishing or muskie speering.

Just so you know for next time, trout spook REALLY easily. For example, some fisherman use fly for trout so the can keep their distance and they make sure to be silent and keep their shadow off the fish. Also with your hookset, don’t set the hook like it’s a bass. They have very soft mouths and you could rip the lure right out. The best thing is a light tug straight up.
