Starting off the new season with a new Minn Kota Ultrex. Had to decide between power poles and the new trolling motor. I spend more time in deeper water this was what works better for me.

Smart to do the maintenance on your boat yourself! I have done that with my triton and it's still running strong 14 years later! I will be buying some swimbaits soon! Going to try them out this year, something I have not tried in bass fishing!Good luck next time out!??

You asked what rod for the Shimano and I’ve got the same reel using it for drop shot too. I use a Powell 6’6” and love it.
