I'm new at this and have been told that it is best to use a single barbless hook, even on plugs when practicing catch and release. The rationale provided is that it does far less damage to the fish, is much easier to release and much safer when handling fish. Given your experience, what do you think?
Got attacked by a goose there last spring, there's a lot of other places I've explored around there that produce too. I go to school near there so I've had the last 4 years to figure it out.
Lovely video matey, the pattern on your pike are so different to over here in the uk. Have you ever used the large cast king open faced reel for big lures?
I must say I've learned quite a bit since I've subscribed to your channel and it has helped me up my game over the last 3 years as a fisherman. Thank you for such great videos my friend. If you ever find yourself back in Louisiana I've got a shallow canal close to my house in Norco that is stocked with Rio Grand Cichlids, bullheads, and bass I can gladly get you on them. And I've got a nice catfish spot right over the levee from the canal as well
Leo as far as keeping your hands warm try the "hot hands" body and hand super warmers. They're 10 for 5 dollars at Wal-Mart. The grabbers brand are ok but they don't last as long as the hot hands.
Hi guys can someone explain to me if i should or shouldnt use wire leaders for freshwater trout fishing? If i should use them what strenght should they be and if i shouldnt use them then what strenght should the line be? i fish with spinners and jigs. tnx
I love my Sharky II 1500. It's my favourite ultralight reel and I've caught many big fish with it. The drag needed a little bit of break-in, but is now smooth as butter.
Why can’t everyone be as happy as you man? You’re the man.
8:33 did anyone hear the eagle in the background lol
You’re fishing in the same spot where I fish lol if you’d go under the train track bridge that’s where I catch the bass
Happy New Year! Here's to another great year of very enjoyable times fishing.

Forget those little hand warmers. Get yourself a powered heated vest/jacket. Some run on usb packs others off small power tool batteries

Good job Leo. Remember… you are the dink master. 😉 Keep fishing with your dad as long as you can man!
Using a thin and soft titanium or steel trace you can use lighter line.. and it makes casting and fishing way better
2’nd time in a row your dad catches a fish on the intro ?
